Little Eggies' Day


So Little Ladie’s Day and Hatchingtide are, aesthetically, my two favorite events. So of course, I was a little disappointed that they combined them but only gave out one prize! Granted, it’s a pretty cute reward, a pink version of the Goobue mount that has a cute little action where it summons eggs containing bunnies.

Here’s a comparison of the Laurel Goobue from the Sylphs and Peatie the Pink Goobue from the event!

I do appreciate that it references a Legacy plotline about a goobue running amok in Ul’Dah, which if you know your Scion lore, you’ll recognize that as the event that killed Minfilia’s dad in the 1.0 storyline, something that also gets referenced in the Stormblood Alchemist questline.

I also had a lot of fun running around with Xarale and looking for all the cute little birds that get placed around town during Little Ladie’s Day.

Two green birds and one red bird are sitting behind the dancing miqo'te NPCs in Ul-dah. As a note, the NPCs are out of sync due to loading latency.

My favorite was this tragic little bird story that was in the Gold Court in Ul‘Dah, in a circle around the fountain.

The birds are now facing each other directly, their beaks touching. 4. A pink bird has landed on their plate and snatched up the dango in its beak! The two red birds are facing away from each other 5. The two red birds look back at their empty plate. 6. They are no longer facing each other, instead facing forward towards their tea cups.

Though I suppose you could also view it backwards, then the pink bird is bringing them some dango!

And I also found this little hidden Moogle Bird, Kupo~!



Although I’m griping about the event, the story was really cute and I do like the mount that you get, so I can’t truly complain too hard.
