I love Moon cheese so much. So annoying that it’s expensive, like way more than just normal cheese, because its almost impossible to get that particular crunch with home made cheese snacks.
Moon cheese are a snack made entirely out of cheese. It’s dehydrated and then puffed up with high heat, resulting in a light and crunchy snack. These are insanely addictive to me. I love them a ton but always end up overeating them, so these huuuge 10oz packs are dangerous. The serving size is supposed to be 1 ounce, but that's not really a whole lot. Sometimes I get a craving and it feels like this is the only thing that will do. I sometimes prefer it to normal cheese, or eat them in combination.
They also come in smaller, 2oz packets, but they’re even more expensive and really not worth it unless you can get them on sale. The packs actually make really good hiking or camping snacks, as they’re quite lightweight and a packed source of calories due to the fat in the cheese. They keep quite well as long as they’re unopened.
