Maelstrom Movie Night
Good friends aren't easy to come by, but when you find real ones, you'll know it.
Maelstrom originally began life as an MMO guild, with people hanging out in the forums or in Raidcall, back when that still existed. I first met them in Ragnarok Online, circa 2013. I became friends with their leader and several other members, as I would hang out with them in game when my own guild members were offline. Eventually, my own guild fell apart, and I was officially welcomed into the fold.
In the decade since, friends have come and gone, but there was one tradition we had, and that was watching movies together every couple of weeks.
This continues to this day, and every friday we get together to watch a movie. We choose a theme for the month, then everyone suggests up to two (2) movies to vote for. We then, each week, vote on which one of those to watch. Unless someone has a birthday, then we let them pick.
